Greenscape

I loved the ombre quilts made from Simply Color by Amy Smart at Diary of a Quilter and talked with Beth from Rock Paper Scissors about making a trio of samples for the shop to show how versatile the fabric is. Just like the Pinkscape quilt, this one is cut from a single yard of ombre fabric cut into 4.5 inch squares then backed and bound in a coordinating print from the collection.

After seeing coverage of some of the amazing quilts at Quiltcon and learning about the amazing Angela Walters I wanted to try a new free motion quilting pattern. I decided to do a spiral in each of the squares, and I really liked the overall look. It echoes the dots on the back and gives it a whole new personality.
